My name is Elena, I am 35 years old and I am currently a high school teacher for Social Studies for 9th and 10th grade. I have participated in designing curriculum based on an IDM model and creating new curriculum for both grade levels. Participating in transitioning from content based learning to skill based learning.

I also supervised various trips with students. I traveled to New York for a UN debate, also to Disney to experience the behind the scenes and learn of the business behind the magic. As well as San Francisco to visit Silicon Valley and learn from different companies in the tech world.

I have moved countries since I was 5 years old and have had the experience of living abroad. This has helped me engage easily with people and have a positive interaction with different nationalities.

I am fluent in English and Spanish, this helps me teach my subjects in English and also help students whose english is not as strong to explain in spanish and build their level of comprehension in english.
